ROBERT STEED JD, ACCREDITED VA ATTORNEY

Robert is a Dean’s List Honors graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School. During law school he participated in the school’s Civil Practice Clinic and Moot Court team and was nominated to be student director of and compete for the ABA National Moot Court Competition. After graduation he practiced law in a variety of areas including at the Leelanau County prosecutor’s office and general civil practice in Michigan. He then worked as a VA Contract Officer where he wrote, awarded, and administrated contracts for the Milwaukee VA VISN 11 healthcare facilities. Finally, prior to working as a VA accredited attorney, Robert was a Contracting Officer for the Defense Logistics Agency in Battle Creek, Michigan. He currently is a member of the Michigan State Bar and the Florida State Bar in good standing.

Robert lives in Traverse City, Michigan with his wife, a Registered Nurse who formerly worked for the VA in Michigan and Minnesota, and 5 children. He enjoys spending time with his family, camping, and spending time outdoors. His desire to help veterans along with his extensive work history as a Veteran Benefit Attorney, VA Contract Administrator, and Department of Defense employee make him well qualified to represent veterans before the Department of Veterans Affairs.
